July 2000: SKYCHIEF was born out of the seemingly non-existent music scene in Akron. Revue magazine quotes, “While SKYCHIEF is rock and roll they also tend to bleed into both punk and even some hard rock circa 1972. The performance is high energy with two raging guitars and pounding drums and bass.”

Currently, SKYCHIEF just released several singles off their first full-length CD titled, “Me Rock You So Hard”, available from our merch store. This fall, they’ll be back at it working on their 2^nd release, “AutoExciter” due out sometime next year. When SKYCHIEF isn’t recording, they are playing shows in the regional area and around town. They have performed in Cleveland, Akron, Kent, Chicago and have also performed at
Love Muffin, Undercurrents & The Cleveland Music Fest, regional music showcase's held in Cleveland, OH.

SKYCHIEF is Taffi (Guitar & Vocals), Disco Steve (Guitar & Vocals), Jon B (Bass) and last but most definitely not least, Smitty (heavy-hitting drummer). These guys have been around the scene for awhile, playing in such bands as the legendary Albino Tree Frogs, First Offense and The Rain Dogs.
